The Cost of Denying Truth

I heard a very striking phrase the other day: “We live in an upside-down world.” It resonated deeply because it perfectly describes so much of the reality we are witnessing today. The inversion of truth has become more normalised than ever before. We are expected not only to listen to lies, but often, through subtle coercion, to embrace untruths as reality. What is deeply disheartening is that many people willingly live by these distortions, and it is this collective agreement that reinforces these distortions. There are such deep levels of conditioning and mind control operating that many people can no longer see the wood for the trees.

What Is Truth?

Many people challenge the idea of “truth” by asking about it’s source, arguing that everyone is entitled to have their own opinion. And yes, that is true to a point. However, the issue arises when belief systems become corrupted and distorted.

Many people are simply repeating what they have been told and are conditioned to believe narratives without truly questioning them. They are disconnected from their own inner sovereignty.

For me, truth is about discernment.

The more we heal and clear layers of distortion within ourselves, the less able we become to tolerate falsehood. An open heart that is aligned with truth instinctively reacts to deception. The body and soul recognise distortion in the same way the intelligence of the body recognises poison. The whole fabric of your body and soul will feel corrupted by the sound of these words. This is why it is our responsibility to go within and honestly examine where distortions may exist, both in the world around us and within ourselves. Going through a healing process can bring these distortions within us to the surface to be healed.

Undeniable Realities

The continued suppression of the feminine, both here and across the world despite constant rhetoric about the “empowerment of women,” is deeply saddening.

The disrespect shown toward Mother Earth, her waters, forests, wildlife, and natural landscapes while industrial growth and greed are prioritised, is staggering. Yet this destruction is often disguised as “progress.” The poisoning of our bodies through chemicals and toxins for profit can no longer be ignored.

Likewise, the reality that women and young girls in certain parts of the world are still denied basic human rights and controlled under oppressive regimes is undeniable. These truths are plain to see, yet many people bypass or avoid them because acknowledging them may challenge political loyalties, social identities, or personal comfort. We cannot claim to honour or empower the feminine while remaining silent about this level of oppression.

The devastation of war is another undeniable truth. Human beings are dying every day across the world. Every life matters. We should be uniting to oppose all wars, not only the ones that align with our political perspectives.

No culture, religion, or group of people is more valuable than another. All suffer in the same way. Families grieve. Innocent people are starved, displaced, abused, and killed simply because of the culture they were born into.

Yet in this “upside-down world”, some lives are treated as more worthy of compassion than others.

The abuse of children in its many forms is another painful truth that cannot continue to be ignored. No amount of blame-shifting or political division changes this reality. The longer people deny that abuse can be perpetrated by individuals across political, corporate, entertainment, and institutional systems, the longer the suffering continues. Refusing to acknowledge uncomfortable truths only protects the structures that allow harm to continue.

The Truth Hurts

When we truly allow ourselves to face painful truths, they change us. Once seen, they cannot easily be unseen.Yet allowing ourselves to feel these realities also deepens our compassion. It awakens something instinctive within us, a desire to protect, to speak, and to act.In an inverted world, hearts often shut down because truth is uncomfortable. It is painful to accept that people or systems we once trusted may be capable of great harm. So we shift blame. Denial allows us to continue our daily lives untouched by the suffering around us.

Of course, none of us can carry the weight of the entire world. Life is already challenging enough. But we can still use our voices in small ways. We can stand for truth consistently rather than selectively. We can refuse to cherry-pick compassion based on ideology or social acceptance.

Facing distortion in the world also requires us to face ourselves and the role we may unknowingly play in allowing it to continue.

Marian Support to embody Truth

Tuning into the heart and facing our own blocks to love can open us to deeper compassion both for ourselves and for others.

Many people carry frozen aspects within themselves that have shut the heart down. These wounds may stem from childhood trauma, betrayal, ancestral pain, sexual trauma, or experiences that left them disconnected from self-love and trust. It is due to our separation from love, from our inner light. This separation colours our response to what is going on around us.

Invoking the love and wisdom of Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary can be profoundly healing during this process. They too walked the Earth and understood human suffering and spiritual challenge.

Mary Magdalene embodies courage, truth, and the strength to face the shadow within ourselves. Mother Mary embodies compassion, grace, and unconditional love.

Together, this powerful current of energy can support us in grieving our pain, softening hardened places within, and reopening our hearts to unconditional love.

And when the heart opens, we are able to feel authentic truth, smell the fragrance of love, long forgotten and in turn radiate compassion, and healing into the darker corners of our world.
